To use a forum correctly you have to be motivated to help people or to share your experiences. Give it your all to help a person as best you can. Go through whatever it takes to get to the answer.

Participate on a regular basis. Show people that you are a active part of the community. The more you participate, the more people will naturally follow your advice. Try to make it a habit to create one post while replying to one per night. Now you can always go above and beyond. More power to you if you feel you can do even better. Just by following those tips you will rapidly come up as a prospect in the community. There is always someone that could use your help.

Of course this goes without saying, don’t abuse your privileges.

Last but most important, have a positive attitude. They say good things come to those with a positive outlook on life. People will naturally pull towards a positive personality. Everyone wants to be friends with the positive person. Always seek to find the good in the bad. The reason for this is, there is always good to be found.
